06 Nov MessageBase Rings The Changes With Ambitious Growth Plans And New Leadership

MessageBase has outlined ambitious growth plans and a promise to ‘shake up’ the call handling industry following its acquisition by an investment firm, specialising in UK SME growth.

The firm provides call answering, call handling and message taking services for both small and larger businesses as well as for public organisations looking to reduce costs and improve customer service levels. MessageBase aims to strengthen its position as a top three player in its industry over the next three years by delivering exceptional value and superior customer experience to its clients and callers.

Freddie Bellhouse and Nicholas Ashford, Partners at Fordhouse Equity, are heading up the new leadership team at MessageBase and bring with them strong sector expertise from working with global telecommunications and outsourcing firms including STC, Batelco, Capgemini and Xchanging. MessageBase has been providing call handling and message taking services across a range of sectors for more than 12 years.

Fordhouse Equity has invested the first tranche of its multi-million pound investment programme in expanding MessageBase’s London-based office as well as building its own dedicated ultra-fast, high capacity and resilient telephony technology. The company aims to deliver an exceptional customer experience by building a client-centric team and tripling current staff levels within the next 12 months.

Nicholas Ashford said: “The call handling industry been reaping oversized profits for too long – it is time for customers to get a fairer deal. Over the next six months MessageBase will be unveiling new pricing and service models that will disrupt the sector. We are on a mission to create value for customers, rather than extract it from them.”

“MessageBase releases time-strapped businesses from their phones, by looking after clients’ calls as if we’re sitting beside them. We increase their profitability and help improve their customer experience. We principally increase revenues for clients by ensuring every sales lead is captured and also drive down costs through staff replacement and augmentation”.

He added: “MessageBase has built up a deep understanding across several sectors that we have been working in for over a decade, such as education, legal and international. We are leveraging this knowledge along with insights from our clients to provide solutions that have been designed explicitly for companies in those particular sectors.”

Existing MessageBase customers will not be affected by the takeover and key management staff have been retained.
